primrosesss asked: where do you make your drawings? like do you draw them online?
The short answer is…. Sort of? I don’t have a Livestream or anything because I find the way I work to be so continuously haphazard and trial by error I feel like if people watched me work they would just be like “Seriously?! Is this his first time drawing? What is even going on?!?!?”
That being said, when I do draw I start off using a 0.5 Mechanical Pencil (my preferred brand is Pentel Graphgear 500) loaded up with non-photo blue lead. For inking I use a 0.05 Pilot Drawing Pen and a 0.03 LePen Technical Drawing Pen for the majority of my drawing. If I need a thicker line or am shading something in black I’ll use a Pilot Fineliner or a brush pen, but I like to work small so the finer pens usually suffice. All of this is done on a piece of 9x12 Bristol Board with a vellum surface (as opposed to the smooth surface).
When that’s all said and done I scan my drawing into Photoshop, clean up the linework and color it using the Pencil Tool.
And then…. ART! Or something like it.
Oh, and for doodles and when I take requests on here I use ballpoint pen. I used to use ballpoint pen for all of my inking because I was a REBEL, but now I just save it for quick drawings. My preferred ballpoint pens are Bic Ultra Round Stic, Pilot Easytouch and Pilot Better Retractable.
I hope that answered your question!
